The account, the billing, and the limits.

These terms apply to an account opened on xfpcloud.com and to the orders, invoices, and machines that follow from it. The version published on this page is the one in effect.

Account

The account is registered with an email. One email is one account. Sign-in uses a password, or a code sent to that email. A new email completes the code first, then sets a password. The password is at least 6 characters.

The password can be reset in the sign-in window, or changed in the console with the current password. A reset checks the code for that email. The two entries of the new password must match. After sign-out, that session credential is no longer kept on this browser.

Orders, paid invoices, tickets, and machine connection details under the account are shown only to that account.

Order and payment

The configuration page can take payment without a sign-in. An order finished without a sign-in stays in the current browser. Clearing site data, or using another browser, can make that order unavailable. After sign-in, a paid primary order appears in the console.

Before payment is confirmed, the page lists the payment methods available at that moment. The payer selects one. The currency is US dollars. After payment, the configuration page offers a sign-in when none is present, and the console when a sign-in is present.

Billing

The amount due equals monthly rent times the number of months in the term. The term is monthly, quarterly, semiannual, or annual: 1, 3, 6, or 12 months. No further discount applies.

Monthly rent adds the selected machine, extra disks, bandwidth tier, extra IPv4, and system. Options are prepaid on the same term as the machine. Amounts follow the rate card and the figures listed on the configuration page at the time.

There is no setup fee. No fixed-term contract is signed separately. One payment covers the selected term. An issued invoice is paid at the amount on that invoice. This page does not state a provisioning time, an availability ratio, or a refund formula.

The rented machine

Each machine is registered to one tenant. The facility is in Tokyo, Japan. The two memory tiers are 128GB or 256GB DDR4-3200 ECC RDIMM. 256GB is a separate tier, not extra modules added to the 128GB machine.

The default disks are 2 × 1TB NVMe, with no hardware RAID. The two disks are direct-attached, and usable capacity is counted as 2TB. An added 2TB NVMe is also direct-attached and stays outside any hardware array. A machine takes at most two added disks.

Bandwidth is one of 250M, 1G, or 2G. All three are unmetered. One IPv4 is included. Extra addresses are added one at a time, not as a subnet bundle, up to 255 more. Together with the included address, the total does not exceed 256. Those addresses belong to the machine on that order.

System and access

The system is a single choice at order time. Linux uses SSH. Windows uses RDP. Windows Server adds a monthly charge for the selected edition. The language is English, Traditional Chinese, or Simplified Chinese.

Once the machine can be reached, the console shows the host, port, username, and password. Before that, those details stay hidden. The password is masked by default.

Limits of use

The tenant is responsible for the system, software, sites, data, and outbound access on the machine. The disks have no hardware redundancy. Content that must be kept is backed up by the tenant during the paid term.

The machine is not to be used to send unsolicited bulk mail, to scan or attack another network, or to place or spread unlawful content. In those cases the machine’s outbound connection can be paused. Paid invoice records remain.

Assistance

Tickets are opened and answered in the console. Mail goes to support@xfpcloud.com. Tickets and mail handle the matter at hand. They do not rewrite an amount already paid.

Changes to the terms

A revision is published on this page and replaces the earlier text. Signing in after the revision, or continuing to use a machine already delivered, accepts the text then published. How the email, orders, and machine identifiers are kept is in the privacy policy.
